NEWS - PRIMARILY DANCE

Loughlan Prior, Choreographer in Residence at RNZB (Hansel & Gretel), was in Nelson in June, working with ballerina Laura Saxon Jones and Primarily Dance Artistic Director Lesley Bandy, on an intergenerational duet - Smile Lines. This will be part of Grooves! triple bill performances going to Westport 16 Oct, Nelson 17 Oct, Blenheim 18 Oct.

We are working with well-known NZ composer, Janet Jennings, on a new ballet - Under the Pohutukawa Tree. The team also includes award-winning Costume Designer Elizabeth Whiting, & exciting Hamilton artist Mark Curtis for Set Design.

On another creative note, Lesley Bandy has begun the process of choreographing a pas de deux to Bic Runga's CAPTURED, and cannot wait to get in the studio to work on it with dancers!
